One of my favourite sections of the site (even if I’ve never settled on the perfect name for it!), a look at all the Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA titleholders who’ve gone on to compete at Miss USA or in other state pageants. It’s always inspiring to see where their journeys have taken them — whether they won a crown early on, competed once or twice and then hung up the heels or kept showing up year after year, showing persistence in their quest to walk the Miss USA stage.
While four of the five former Teens had placed at Miss USA – including two in the top 5/6, only Jasmine Daniels (2015) was able to repeat that success at Miss USA, finishing third runner-up in 2023. In 2021 Sydney Robertson (2014) became the first to win two separate awards across Miss Teen USA and Miss Teen USA – adding the Miss Photogenic award to her Miss Congeniality title from Miss Teen USA.
The highest number of Pennsylvania former teens to compete in a single calendar year is three – 2012 saw Chelsea MacDougall (2004) compete in Nevada, Sarah Otey (2005) compete in New York and Elliott Griffin (2008) compete in Pennsylvania. All three made the top five in their respective pageants.
