One of my favourite sections of the site (even if I’ve never settled on the perfect name for it!), a look at all the Miss Montana Teen USA titleholders who’ve gone on to compete at Miss USA or in other state pageants. It’s always inspiring to see where their journeys have taken them — whether they won a crown early on, competed once or twice and then hung up the heels or kept showing up year after year, showing persistence in their quest to walk the Miss USA stage.
Montana has had few of their former Teen titleholders return to compete in Miss – my records only show 9 returnees, and none of the 1990s titleholders. This may be attributable to incomplete records, I’d be interested to hear if I’ve missed anyone.
Unusually, all 4 of the Teens who competed and didn’t win finished first runner-up at least once. One of these was Montana’s only Miss Teen USA, Katie Blair (2006) who placed first runner-up to Alyssa Campanella at Miss California USA 2011 and then assumed the title when Alyssa won Miss USA.
