2016 bio:

Miss Maine Teen USA 2016 Jessica Stewart is a senior at Mount View High School in Thorndike. As part of her studies, she is taking 4 dual enrollment classes with Thomas College. She has a GPA of 3.4. Jessica is interested in following her siblings footsteps and attending the University of Maine at Orono. She is undecided with her major but has strong interests in both the medical field and in business and marketing.

Growing up, Jessica has participated in soccer, cheer leading and gymnastics. She became very serious with gymnastics in 2010 and this soon became her full time sport. She is on a team at Leaps N Bounds Gymnastics in Fairfield and has competed in the USAG Junior Olympic Division. In 2014 Jessica qualified and competed at the Maine State Meet and won the title of Maine State Beam Champion and also won 3rd Place All-Around. Jessica has also volunteered as a gymnastics coach in an after school program for young children. She soon became a role model at her school. This year, Jessica is competing in the XCEL division to allow more time for all her other responsibilities.

Last summer Jessica worked as a Nanny for her Aunt and Uncle in Texas. She cared for her two cousins, ages 6 and 8, and their younger twin sisters, who were 5 months old at the time. Jessica thoroughly enjoyed caring for the 4 girls and quickly learned what multi-tasking meant! When Jessica came home from her summer of babysitting, she began working at a beautiful ocean side retirement home as a waitress in their dining room. Jessica is still working at the retirement home after school and on weekends.

Jessica’s hobbies include downhill skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, hiking, kayaking and horseback riding. She also enjoys traveling and has been fortunate to visit many of the states, Canada, Jamaica and the Bahamas. Jessica also will be going to Scotland this Spring with her high school’s library club.
Jessica is honored to be selected as the Miss Maine Teen USA titleholder. She intends to make her community and State proud during her 2016 reign and she is ecstatic to be sharing her responsibilities with her new big sister, Marisa Butler who was crowned Miss Maine USA. Jessica is looking forward to developing bonds and friendships with her new pageant family and is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this years appearances and charity events.
