2018 bio:

Miss Maine USA 2018 Marina Gray was born and raised in the quiet coastal town of Trenton. There, she was an active member of Student Council, Class President, and the only female player on her Junior High baseball team. Facing much adversity in her home life and within her family dynamic, it lead her to initiate a legal emancipation at the age of 16. Marina has never been one to let external factors define her. She chose to define herself. Knowing education was the key to a successful future, she graduated a year early from high school, applied for college at the age of 16, and was accepted to three separate Universities!

Marina graduated from the University of Maine in 2016 with a Major in Interpersonal Communication, Minor in Psychology, with future plans to attain her Master’s in Fine Arts for Documentary Production.

After graduating high school, Marina joined the US ARMY Guard where she has served for the last five years. She currently holds the rank of Sergeant, and received the Award for Soldier of Year in her unit in 2015 and recently received Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year of her unit in 2017.

In her spare time, Marina enjoys all the beauty Maine has to offer, entertaining her adventurous side with frequent hikes, skiing, snowboarding, and boating. One of her life’s greatest passions is cinematography. She hopes to produce content that will inspire others to appreciate the beauty that surrounds them, even at difficult times.

As Miss Maine USA 2018, Marina hopes to inspire self-confidence in others. She exudes positive progression without the fear of failing, knowing that she holds the power to achieve any dream she works hard for. She proved this to be true with her victory at Miss Maine USA 2018, her first pageant ever! This year will be her opportunity to prove that you can be both strong and beautiful.
