A native of Fallston, Miss Maryland USA 2018 Brittinay Nicolette represented Maryland at the Miss USA 2018 pageant in Shreveport, Louisiana. Brittany is a graduate of Fallston High School, and Lynchburg College where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Public Health. She has worked as a Transplant Coordinator for the Living Legacy Foundation, the Maryland State Organ Procurement Organization where she was responsible for educating hospital personnel and facilitating the Organ Donation and Recovery Process for life saving organ transplants across seven Maryland hospitals.
After seven attempts at the title over a ten year span, Brittinay Nicolette was crowned Miss Maryland USA 2018 on October 29, 2017. Her love of pageantry began at 10 years old when she received a copy of Miss Congeniality for her birthday, and believes competing for the state title helped shape her into the woman she is today. She is a graduate of Fallston High School, and Lynchburg College where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Public Health.
Brittinay’s passion for health started at an early age, and she always knew she wanted to help others through a career in Health Education. She is currently a Transplant Coordinator for the Living Legacy Foundation, the Maryland State Organ Procurement Organization. She is responsible for educating hospital personnel and facilitating the Organ Donation and Recovery Process for life saving organ transplants across seven Maryland hospitals. Maryland currently has one of the lowest self-designation donation rates in the country, and Brittinay plans to spend her year advocating for Marylanders to register to become organ donors.
In addition to Organ Donation, Brittinay is an advocate for Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Awareness. After experiencing sexual assault and dating abuse first hand, she has made it her mission to spread awareness through sharing her story. She has spoken on college campuses, and would like to use her title as a megaphone for this cause. She believes by showing both strength and vulnerability as a titleholder she will have the potential to help another young woman break out of a negative situation.
In her free time Brittinay is a member of the Junior League of Baltimore, an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. She is also a sister of the Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, and the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. Brittinay is a cat lover, and has three fur babies of her own.
