A native of Edgewater, Miss Maryland USA 2013 Kasey Staniszewski represented Maryland at the Miss USA 2013 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kasey is a veteran to the stage, and one of her truest passions is singing. From an early age, Kasey was involved in community and regional theatre, helping to develop her confidence and hone in on her talents as a vocalist and actress. She and her sister Lindsay, herself a former Miss Maryland, have a singing duo called “The Marilinds”
Miss Maryland USA 2013 Kasey Staniszewski studies communication at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She is thrilled to serve as a spokeswoman for the Miss USA Organization and as an advocate for the many charitable causes for which she cares so deeply. Kasey is most passionate about her work to promote and encourage self-esteem in young women. As an ambassador for Beyond Beauty, a program dedicated to building confidence in girls, Kasey looks forward to raising awareness about the effects of bullying, the pressures on women from their peers and the media and the importance of being confidently and uniquely beautiful. She hopes to use her own story and the challenges she has faced as inspiration to women of all ages. Working with the USO, the Girl Scouts, Susan G. Komen for a Cure, Best Buddies, the Special Olympics and many other non-profits, Kasey is inspired to continue her efforts in volunteering and to use her title to share her voice, her story and her heart.

She is most honored when asked to sing the National Anthem at deployment ceremonies and events that honor our Troops. She hopes one day travel the globe with the USO, bringing joy to the men and women who dedicate their lives to serving this great nation.
Kasey has enjoyed her many experiences in the fashion world, working as a model for both commercial and editorial clients across the country. Kasey loves cooking, exercise, swimming, playing the piano and leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Her favorite times are those spent with family, centered around music and laughter, and feels her genuine heart and love of making people laugh make her uniquely beautifu
