A native of North Potomac, Miss Maryland USA 2010 Simone Feldman represented Maryland at the Miss USA 2010 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Simone recently graduated from the University of Maryland College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with an additional focus on Community and Public Health.
Miss Maryland USA 2010 Simone Feldman recently graduated from the University of Maryland College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with an additional focus on Community and Public Health. Simone was the secretary of the Pre-Dental Society at the University of Maryland. Her passion for helping others led her down the path of Biology with initial hopes of becoming a dentist. Since graduation she has shifted her focus towards becoming a lawyer with hopes of becoming an advocate for her community by integrating her science background with the law. Simone is also interested in commercial broadcasting and hopes that throughout the next year, doors may open to pursue this interest.
Simone is just as comfortable discussing glamour and fashion as she is talking about her favorite sports teams – the Washington Redskins and the Washington Wizards! Simone also enjoys outdoor adventures and recently went sky diving in Ocean City, Maryland. Since she enjoyed it so much, her mother agreed to join her if she wins Miss USA 2010. Simone also enjoys roller coasters, dancing, exercising, and traveling.
This past summer she traveled to Colombia, South America. This trip afforded her the unique opportunity to see the countryside of Villa de Leyva and the capitol city, Bogota. Simone traveled there with a friend and was able to experience life in Colombia from an insider’s point of view. She hopes to travel to many more places around the world to learn about other cultures and meet new people. Based on her heritage, Simone hopes to travel to Italy next year.
Dance has always been a big part of Simone’s life. She started dancing when she was four and is always able to light up the room with her dancing. Simone continued dancing through high school and spent a summer dancing with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. She has performed at many places including the White House, Disney World, and the Kennedy Center during her dance career. She would love to be invited to participate in a season of Dancing With The Stars as the reigning Miss USA 2010!
