Miss Maine Teen USA 2017 Victoria Timm resides in Scarborough with her Mother, Father, and two dogs. She is an only child but she has many close friends who are her extended family. She is a senior at Scarborough High School and maintains a 3.8 GPA. She hopes to play field hockey at the collegiate level and major in Communications.
Growing up as an only child Victoria thought it was important to get outside of her comfort zone and try new things to learn more about yourself. She tried circus arts, dance, golf, softball, karate, figure skating, soccer, gymnastics, swimming, horseback riding, basketball, cooking classes, chorus, guitar, flute, painting, and many more activities to name. In high school Victoria was Captain of her field hockey team and her competition cheering team. For field hockey, she received 2nd Team Award and All Academic Award. Her team received the first ever Sportsmanship Award for Scarborough Field Hockey history! One of Victoria’s favorite memories was winning the 2014 State Championship Field Hockey title within 2.1 seconds left. She has taken her love for field hockey to share it with young girls by volunteering with her team to coach the fundamental skills of the game.
At the age of 15 Victoria got her first job at Beals Ice Cream. Last summer she waitressed at The Higgins Beach Inn, where she learned many important life skills. Victoria volunteers at Boys and Girls Club with young kids inside a classroom to bring a positive outlook. She feels fulfilled when she knows she is helping others.
Victoria’s hobbies include skiing, boating, drawing, sports, and spending time at her favorite places on the water, Higgins Beach and Sebago Lake. She loves to travel, no matter where it may be, because she is always up for an adventure!
