A native of Georgetown, Krista Clausen was crowned Miss Delaware USA on 27 November 2011 and represented Delaware at the Miss USA 2012 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the youngest Miss DE USA in many years.
Krista graduated from Sussex Central High School with high honors and is now a University of Delaware Freshman studying Special Education. Upon graduation she feels called to teach children with disabilities. In addition to college, Krista stays busy working as a sales associate at Sunglass Hut where she enjoys constantly meeting new people. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, and exercising.
Krista strongly believes in giving back to her community. She has volunteered for the Special Olympics, local pageants, charitable fundraising events, and area schools where she talked to the children about diversity appreciation and peer pressures. As she sets her sights on new dreams and goals, she looks forward to working with Angela Viscount, Miss Delaware Teen USA, as they serve their state. Krista realizes the title of Miss Delaware USA will serve as a platform to continue and expand her community service.

Lights, camera, action! Professional photoshoots are one of the perks that comes from winning a title.
All beautiful things must come to an end, no matter how bittersweet. See Krista’s farewell walk and other candids from the weekend she crowned her successor Rachel Baiocco as Miss Delaware USA 2013.
