A native of Paramus, New Jersey, Alexandra Vorontsova was a student at the University of Delaware during her reign. She was crowned Miss Delaware USA on 29 November 2015 and represented Delaware at the Miss USA 2016 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alexandra was studying mechanical engineering during her time as Miss DE USA.
Alexandra is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware. Her interest in engineering was sparked by her love of math and curiosity about how the world works.
What inspired Alexandra to pursue the title of Miss Delaware USA was her desire to bring positive change to others. Shown through her aspirations to one day become an engineer, she wishes to improve the lives of individuals not only through material developments, but through the influence she carries.
Alexandra competed for the title of Miss Delaware USA 2015 and placed first runner up; she was a newcomer to the pageant world. After discovering the leadership opportunities the pageant world has to offer, Alexandra felt compelled to participate again in the competition.
