A native of Willmington, Sierra Wright was crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA on 30 November 2014 and represented Delaware at the Miss Teen USA 2015 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sierra has played Varsity Softball since Freshman year, as Brandywine High School’s starting first baseman. She has won many awards, including Rookie of the Year her freshman year, Most Valuable Player, and First team all conference. It is rumoured Sierra will appear on season 47 of Survivor in 2024.
Miss Delaware Teen USA 2015 Sierra Wright is a recent graduate of Brandywine High School in Wilmington, Delaware. She has been very involved in many activities in her school and community, including The National Honor Society, Secretary of the National Spanish Honor Society, Chorale, Blue Gold Club and Varsity Softball. With all her activities, she has managed to maintain High Honor Roll throughout her high school career. Being a member of The Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, she has had the privilege of volunteering her time with many non profit organizations, although she is most passionate about helping the intellectually disabled at the Mary Campbell Center, which is a home that enables these individuals to live and flourish on a beautiful campus. In addition, Sierra was recently chosen to represent the Blue Gold Organization as their Senior Ambassador. The Blue Gold Organization is a parallel program to Best Buddies and provides mentorship and friendship to intellectually challenged people.
Sierra has been very active in sports since she was 4 years old, playing softball and soccer year round. She has played Varsity Softball since Freshman year, as Brandywine High School’s starting first baseman. She has won many awards, including Rookie of the Year her freshman year, Most Valuable Player, and First team all conference. One of her proudest moments was winning the All Eastern Pitch, Hit and Run competition, which was sponsored by the Major League Baseball Organization. She has danced since she was 4 years old, competing in Irish Step dancing competitions but her true passion is singing and performing in front of an audience. She hopes that this title may help her with opportunities to allow others to see her talent. Her dream would be to audition for “The Voice” or “American Idol” in hopes of becoming a professional county music singer.
In her spare time, Sierra likes to spend time with family and friends, especially at the beach! Her family does quite a bit of travelling, with her favorite destination being Yellowstone National Park. Visiting Italy is high on her priority list. She dreams of eating authentic Italian food, visiting The Colosseum and riding mopeds through the small towns.
