1st runner-up Miss Wisconsin Teen USA 2016
A native of Schofield, Skylar Witte was crowned Miss Wisconsin USA on 11 September 2016 and represented Wisconsin at the Miss USA 2017 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Skylar is a versatile model, blogger and social media branding expert who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin in 2018. After giving up her Miss Wisconsin USA title in September of 2017, she began working with Future Productions, putting her skills to use and working hands on with titleholders from across the midwest.
Miss Wisconsin USA 2017 Skylar Witte is currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a dean’s list, double major in Political Science and Communications/Rhetorical Studies who plans to pursue her law degree. Skylar entered college with nearly one-year in credits already completed from her time at DC Everest High School where she graduated as a National Honor Society student in the top 5% of her class.
On top of being a full-time student Skylar is a professional model and has been featured on Seventeen.com and has worked for several worldwide designers. She has also been a research assistant with the City of Madison Finance and Budget Department helping them to develop a more user-friendly, mobile-responsive citywide budget in 2015.
Skylar enjoys writing and was a published author at the age of 13; she is a blogger whose website averages more than 50k views a month and is followed by people from 58 countries. She writes about both her non-traditional path to modeling and provides relatable advice on college life and achieving your dreams.
Skylar was a member of the 2015 Division 1 State Championship pom dance team and has been a dancer, singer and actress for most of her life. When she was a teenager she was often given the role of young boy due to her size and voice. She has since appeared in several short films, music videos and television shows. Skylar has lived in three different cities across the State of Wisconsin and is honored to spend her year representing the people and the places she loves.
