Miss Wisconsin Teen USA 2016 Karly Knaus is currently a senior at Plymouth High School located in Plymouth, Wisconsin. Karly looks forward to her future as she plans to attend college after graduating high school pursuing a degree in communications. Her dream job someday is to become a sideline sports reporter.

In Karly’s spare time she loves to spend time with her friends and family, shop, bake, volunteer and focus on the Gold in September charity. She was introduced to Gold in September Charity through her church and soon after became very involved and hopes to continue staying involved. She recently put together a penny drive at local schools to help find a cure for childhood cancer. Karly is an active volunteer in a third grade classroom, local food pantry, Project Angel Hugs and the Feed my Starving Children event. She loves to be involved in as much as possible as she has participated in basketball, cross country as well as the track and field team. Karly loves attending sporting events at her school as often as possible being the sports enthusiast she is. Her dad has been the football and golf coach at her high school for as long as she can remember so she has grown up educated on sports and loves being around the sports environment.

Karly is a proud member of both the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. She has also competed at the State Cross Country Meet in both 2012 and 2013. It was there that she received an All-State Academic Award for achieving both a cumulative GPA of above 3.75 as well as qualifying for the State Cross Country meet.

She looks forward to being able to volunteer at a variety of different events this year and feels extremely blessed that she has the opportunity to do so. Karly is so grateful for the support team she has including her entire family and amazing friends.
