A native of Sheboygan, Kate Redeker was crowned Miss Wisconsin USA on 13 September 2015 and represented Wisconsin at the Miss USA 2016 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Miss Wisconsin USA 2016 Kate Redeker is currently enrolled in her junior year as a psychology major with a Spanish minor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Upon graduation from college, her goal is to become a psychologist.
She is the daughter of Tricia and Steve Redeker, who also reside in Sheboygan, WI. She has one older brother, Nick, who has been one of her biggest supporters and best friend. A special part of her life is her golden retriever “fur baby,” Sash.
Juggling school and work (she is a butler at a private membership club in Kohler, WI), she still makes time to volunteer with organizations that she is most passionate about; The USO, Susan G Komen For the Cure, and her own platform, “Perfection is Perception.” Her platform focuses on helping those affected by negative body image, eating disorders, and depression issues.
Above all, she focuses on staying healthy and doing what makes her happy: volunteering for the USO “Operation: That’s My Dress!” events across the United States.
