A native of Boise, Jordana Dahmen was crowned Miss Idaho USA 2022 on 12 September 2022 and represented Idaho at the Miss USA 2022 pageant in Reno, Nevada. Jordana is passionate about STEM education and was chosen to participate in an art installation challenging people’s perception of women in STEM.
Miss Idaho USA 2022 Jordana Dahmen is a published scientist who amplifies the voices of underserved populations. Her aim is to improve policies and programs through inclusive research. Jordana was selected by the IF/THEN® ambassador program to serve as a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) role model. Jordana challenges society’s perception of scientists through her initiative “Shattering STEM Stereotypes.” Her work has been featured on the social media accounts of Seventeen Magazine, CBS’s Mission Unstoppable, and in science centers across the country.
