A native of Honolulu, Kiana Yamat was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2022 on 20 February 2022 and represented Hawaii at Miss USA 2022 in Reno Nevada. Kiana is a civil and construction engineer and a passionate advocate for STEM education. She is a former American Society of Civil Engineers student chapter president.
Miss Hawaii USA 2022 Kiana Yamat is a graduate of Lahainaluna High School and University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is a former Athlete who ran Track & Field, was her school’s cheerleading captain and represented Hawaii at Wrestling Nationals. At the University of Hawaii she was awarded the Chancellor’s scholarship and was the American Society of Civil Engineers student chapter President.
Kiana is Civil & Construction Engineer and her goal is to be a female role model in the STEM industry. She hopes to inspire young women who are looking to pursue a careers in male-dominate industries.This was her first pageant but her sister Breea was a runner-up at Miss Hawaii USA 2020 and 2021.
