A native of Kapaʻa, Ki’ilani Arruda was crowned Miss Hawaii Teen USA on 10 November 2019 and represented Hawaii at the Miss Teen USA 2020 pageant in Memphis, Tennessee, where she became Hawaii’s second Miss Teen USA. Ki’ilani is a freshman at the University of Puget Sound studying Molecular and Cellular Biology on a Pre-Med Track. As an athlete, Kiʻilani strives to maintain an active lifestyle. She competed in volleyball, swim, and track in high school, and will go on to swim for her university.
Miss Teen USA 2020 Ki’ilani Arruda is a freshman at the University of Puget Sound studying Molecular and Cellular Biology on a Pre-Med Track and minoring in Spanish. She recently graduated from Island School with a 4.0 GPA and received multiple awards over the course of her academic career. As an athlete, Kiʻilani strives to maintain an active lifestyle. She competed in volleyball, swim, and track in high school, and will go on to swim for her university. Kiʻilani’s younger brother was diagnosed with Autism at the age of two. Because of her experience as a loving older sister, she wants to advocate for Autism Awareness and recently received her Registered Behavior Technician License.
