Miss Idaho USA 2010 Jessca Cathleen Hellwinkel grew up on the Windy H Land and Cattle Ranch north of Shoshone, Idaho; with her mother, father, and younger sister. This is where Jessca “Jess” learned the value and importance of hard work. She began driving tractors by the age of four, and always lent a helping hand with picking rocks, planting grains, maintaining the fields, and feeding the animals. Jessca started into 4-H when she was nine. She took her first dairy cow “Juliana” to the Gooding County Fair. She was honored to be part of the 4-H club for many years and has continued to stay active in her volunteer services with clubs both in Gooding and Boise.
Jessca graduated from Borah High School in 2008 and immediately started at Boise State University. She is dedicated to her studies in Business Marketing and is currently in her second year of college. Her goal is to finish her Bachelors degree and continue her studies into Fashion Marketing.
Jessca has worked at Larry Miller Honda in Boise for the past few years. She is a Sales Receptionist and performs such duties as answering phones, meeting and greeting customers, and assisting in deals. Larry Miller Honda was one of her strongest supporters of the Miss Idaho USA pageant and continues to support her through her journey to Miss USA pageant.
Her favorite place is with her family on the ranch. She enjoys horseback riding, motor cross, bike rides with her sister, hiking, snowboarding, wake boarding, and her daily visits to the gym. She is a strong supporter of physical, mental and emotional health. She believes that through dedication to one’s self anyone can achieve their goals.
Her goal for this year is to reach out to young women and believes that the Miss Idaho USA title will give her a platform to speak on behalf of the young women in Idaho. She wants to bring awareness and prestige to clubs and organizations that are influential in building self esteem and focus on young womens’ individual strengths and embrace their natural abilities.
“Inner beauty is what really shines through, is what my grandma told my mom, what my mom told me, what I tell my sister, and what I want every young girl to know.”
