Miss Idaho Teen USA 2016 Kate Pekuri is the youngest of two children and has lived in Boise, Idaho her entire life. Growing up with a special needs brother, Kate has grown into a passionate and caring person involved with charities such as the Special Olympics and Camp Rainbow Gold. She believes her best qualities have come from growing up with her brother, Grant, and everything he has taught her about life, love, and true joy. Kate loves being outdoors and adventuring through her hometown. In the winters, you can find Kate on her local mountain, Bogus Basin, where she learned to ski and now works as an instructor. In the summer, she enjoys traveling, dirt biking, and backpacking all over the great state of Idaho. Kate graduated from Capital High School, where she has rooted on her Eagles for 3 years as a varsity cheerleader. Kate’s ultimate goal is to create a life she doesn’t need a vacation from.
