A native of Hermosa, a suburb of Chicago, Angel Reyes was crowned Miss Illinois USA on 30 May 2022 and represented Illinois at the Miss USA 2022 pageant in Reno, Nevada. Angel was the second Latina to win Miss IL USA in the pageant’s 70-year history and Illinois’ first Photogenic winner in almost 30 years.

2022 bio:

Miss Illinois USA 2022 Angel Reyes is the second Latina to win Miss Illinois USA in their 70-year history. She aims to enrich and empower the lives of those battling hardships through her longtime partnership with the Hermosa Neighborhood Association – a resident advocacy group fighting for better city services, schools, parks, and safety in Hermosa, Chicago. Angel has been working the beauty, health, and wellness circuit for over 7 years — starting her career as a professional makeup artist and now working as a medical aesthetics professional managing SpaDerma.
