Miss New Mexico 2012
Candice Bennatt was crowned Miss Louisiana USA on 25 October 2014 and represented Louisiana at the Miss USA 2015 pageant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A native of New Mexico, Candice was living and attending law school in New Orleans during her reign. She is a former NFL cheerleader with several dance awards to her credit.
A graduate from Sam Houston State University, Miss Louisiana USA 2015 Candice Bennatt earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Communications. She is a former NFL cheerleader with several dance awards to her credit. She has modeled for numerous couture designers including Stephen Yearick and Sakowitz Furs.
While pursuing her master’s degree at the University of New Mexico, Candice decided to compete for Miss New Mexico 2012 and subsequently competed at the 2013 Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas. After completing her obligation as Miss New Mexico, opportunities presented themselves in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she calls home. Having received a substantial scholarship to Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she currently attends, Candice hopes to practice patent and trademark law in the future. Her ultimate career goal is to be a political analyst with a major news network where she can combine her love for the law and public speaking.
Candice is an advocate against domestic violence where she shares her story and her program “Breaking the Cycle; Preventing Domestic Violence” to educate people on domestic/dating violence awareness and prevention. Her ultimate goal as Miss Louisiana USA is to inspire others to strive for their own personal success as Candice strives to be the next Miss USA and potentially Miss Universe. Her hobbies include dance, fitness, fashion, and reading.
