1st runner-up 2016
A native of Lake Charles, Bethany Trahan was crowned Miss Louisiana USA on 8 October 2016 and represented Louisiana at the Miss USA 2017 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Miss Louisiana USA 2017 Bethany Trahan is a senior at McNeese State University where she is studying Public Relations. Along with being a member of Chi Omega and working closely with the Make A Wish Foundation, Bethany is also actively involved in National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on campus, as well as Public Relations Society of America (PRSSA).
Bethany plans to be the first member in her family to graduate college. After graduation in 2017, Bethany hopes to use her degree in Public Relations and obtain a position in the Public Relations department for a local casino.
Bethany’s goal in life is to make a difference by bringing attention to Mental Health Awareness while working closely with NAMI. In doing so, she will use her voice to comfort those who are hurting and educating those who are not.
If money and skill were no object Bethany would be a travel blogger. She enjoys learning about other cultures, as she has traveled to over seven different tropical islands. Bethany’s most relaxing moments are flying with her dad in his helicopter, which she can also fly with his assistance.
