Katherine Haik is a freshman at Franklinton High School where she is a banner roll student. Katherine is a member of the Demonettes dance team, yearbook staff, Lady Demon Basketball Team and Lady Demon Softball Team. She has been active in the 4H club, BETA club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes for several years and has served as an officer in past years. This year she is also a member of the FOR Club (Friends of Rachel) an anti-bullying club that encourages students to be positive towards their peers.

Katherine was Student Council President at Franklinton Junior High School, and received the District Attorney’s Award for Outstanding Leadership. She was selected as Student of the Year at Franklinton Junior High and then went on to the Parish level competition where she was honored to be chosen Washington Parish Junior High Student of the Year. She has also received outstanding performer and leadership awards from her dance team.

Katherine is a member of First Baptist Church in Franklinton where she is active in the Youth group. She enjoys volunteering with her grandmother at the Varnado Store Museum and has enjoyed working with the Dream Factory Organization in the past. Katherine is a member of The Dancer’s Edge Competition Team and has been dancing since the age of 3. She also enjoys softball, basketball, modeling and playing the piano.
