Ruthie Richey is a 4.0 student at the University of Oklahoma, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Chinese. She is an active member of Chi Omega sorority, serving on both the marketing and campus activities teams. Passionate about global communications, she aspires to build a career in public relations and international business. In her free time, she enjoys modeling, vlogging on TikTok, photography, and painting.

Dedicated to community service, Ruthie has completed over 300 volunteer hours and is a strong advocate for combating food insecurity at both the state and national levels. She has contributed to food banks across 10 states and is now focusing on addressing food insecurity among students. She raises awareness among younger students by encouraging volunteerism and supports older students by working with organizations dedicated to alleviating hunger in school communities.

During her senior year of high school, Ruthie held multiple leadership roles, including Editor-in-Chief of The Lantern yearbook, Photo Editor of The Signpost magazine, Vice President of the Equity and Inclusion Council, Vice President of the Chinese Club, and President of both the Chinese Honor Society and Quill and Scroll Club, which she co-founded. Her achievements earned her several prestigious accolades, including the Meg Thomas Student Speaker Award (student-chosen graduation speaker), the Chinese Language Book Award, and memberships in the National Honor Society, Chinese National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Quill and Scroll National Honor Society. She was also honored with the St. Lawrence Community Service Book Award.

Ruthie is determined, intelligent, ambitious, optimistic, purposeful, and ready to make an impact in Oklahoma.
