A native of High Point, Nadia Moffett was crowned Miss North Carolina USA on 14 November 2009 and represented North Carolina at the Miss USA 2010 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. After graduating from The University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing, Nadia began her career in a Leadership Path Program for American Express Company, developing and engaging employees in career and performance development.
Miss North Carolina USA 2010 Nadia Moffett is an active community and business leader. With a passion to empower people, she has found ways to inspire others in her career and in the community. After graduating from The University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2007 where she attained her Bachelors of Science in Marketing and minor in Information Technology, she began her career in a Leadership Path Program for American Express Company, developing and engaging employees in career and performance development. With the launch of Nadia’s foundation in 2008, Make Me A Queen Foundation, which is a not for profit organization with its mission is to inspire young women to reach their full potential, she was able to make an impact in her community and the lives of many young women.
Nadia’s passion and purpose for her role as Miss North Carolina USA is to inspire young women to reach maximum potential in their lives. Her plan is to expand the Make Me A Queen Foundation program to women across the state of North Carolina, driving empowerment, inspiration and growth among young women. She looks forward to continuing her passion for women’s empowerment through her advocacy of Breast and Ovarian Cancer research throughout the state of North Carolina.
Nadia enjoys running 5K and 10K races, writing and reciting poetry, public Speaking and working with youth. She is currently the Vice President of Public Relations for Toastmasters International at American Express, and often competes in public speaking competitions. Nadia is an active supporter and volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement in Greensboro working with Middle School students on Economics for Success.
