A native of Honolulu, Lauren Teruya was crowned Miss Hawaii Teen USA on 5 November 2016 and represented Hawaii at the Miss Teen USA 2017 pageant in Phoenix, Arizona. Lauren is a theatre junkie. She has performed in 9 live musicals at Diamond Head Theatre, worked as a principal on Hawaii 5-0, and recently filmed a UCLA thesis film in Hawaii. Like her sister Kathryn before her, Lauren went on to win the Miss Hawaii title and compete at Miss America.
Miss Hawaii Teen USA 2017 Lauren Teruya is an adventure seeking, yellow loving, theatre junky. She has performed in 9 live musicals at Diamond Head Theatre, worked as a principal on Hawaii 5-0, and recently filmed a UCLA thesis film in Hawaii. Miss Hawaii Teen USA was Lauren’s first pageant and she is beyond excited to compete on a national level in the summer. In her free time you can find Lauren hiking around the island, studying in coffee shops, or finding lunch restaurants with her three sisters. Her older sister Kathryn is the current Miss Hawaii and was also Miss Hawaii Teen USA 2012.
