A native of Hamden, Acacia Courtney was crowned Miss Connecticut USA on 6 January 2019 and represented Connecticut at the Miss USA 2019 pageant in Reno, Nevada. Acacia is a well-known broadcaster in the world of horse racing, in both Florida and New York, and a passionate advocate for Thoroughbred aftercare
Acacia Courtney is a TV Analyst and Broadcast Journalist in the world of horse racing, covering the biggest events around the country such as the Triple Crown, Breeders’ Cup and the Pegasus World Cup. She is the founder and president of the 501(c)(3) organization Racing for Home, Inc., which is dedicated to ensuring a second career and forever home for Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses. Courtney is a graduate of Fordham University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Theology. This 26-year-old is a classically trained ballerina who has performed in the opening number of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
