A native of Ashburn, Kailee Horvath was crowned Miss Virginia USA on 16 April 2022 and represented Virginia at the Miss USA 2022 pageant in Reno, Nevada. Kailee is currently a full-time student at Marymount University where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. She has been a volunteer at Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department for over 5 years, becoming an EMT in 2017 and a firefighter in 2021.
Miss Virginia USA 2022 Kailee Horvath is currently a full-time student at Marymount University where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. In addition to her studies, she works part-time at a local doctor’s office in her area as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
Her love of medicine started at the age of 17 when she joined her local fire department. She has been a volunteer at Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department (AVFRD) for over 5 years now. She became an EMT in 2017 and later became a firefighter in 2021. Over the years, she has gradually made her way up the ranks and currently holds an officer position within her department.

Giving back to her community is a key part of her life. She has spent thousands of hours at her fire department helping the people of her community, mentoring junior members, and educating the public on various topics. She is extremely passionate about emergency preparedness, and making sure people all over Virginia have the tools and knowledge they need to be best equipped in case of any emergency.
She loves maintaining a healthy lifestyle and recently became a part-time cycling instructor. In her free time, you can find her hiking through Shenandoah National Park with her rescue husky Juno, or in the kitchen baking for her friends and family.
