A native of Fredericksburg, Hannah Grau was crowned Miss Virginia Teen USA on 16 April 2022 and represented Virginia at the Miss Teen USA 2022 pageant in Reno, Nevada. As a military kid, Hannah is passionate about spreading her initiative “Chalk About Positivity” which stems from Giving Tuesday Military, for which she is a youth ambassador. Her goal is to spread intentional acts of kindness, one act at a time.
Miss Virginia Teen USA 2022 Hannah Grau is a rising senior at Stafford High School, enrolled in AP and Honors courses with hopes of pursuing a career in dentistry. At Stafford, she’s a member of the Student Council Association, along with the sideline and competition cheer team.
Hannah is recognized in her community for the humanitarian work she does. She has raised $16,000 for childhood cancer organizations and collected and delivered thousands of coloring books and crayons to the Shriner’s Hospital in South Carolina. Along with her parents and three younger siblings, she has contributed to local area food banks, women’s shelters, USO, and Ronald McDonald House Charities by donating items and raising funds. For the past 3 years, Hannah has had the privilege of being a youth ambassador for Giving Tuesday Military, which has ambassadors in five countries. Through this connection, she has been able to grow her own initiative Chalk About Positivity, whose mission is to spread intentional acts of kindness, one act at a time.
She holds her official card as a member of the Patawomeck Indian Tribe, one of Virginia’s 11 state-recognized Native American Tribes, who are working to become nationally recognized.
