As a child, Olivia was a very shy and timid girl. She has had anxiety since kindergarten and has finally learned how to overcome it. Throughout her years of school, Olivia was bullied constantly for having anxiety. As time passed, she began to realize that having anxiety was who she was, and she had to embrace her flaws. She is not ashamed of her anxiety, instead she uses her past struggles to help others. Olivia plans to use her title as Miss Rhode Island Teen USA to help other children and young adults who struggle with anxiety and depression; she wants them to realize they are not alone.
Olivia entered this pageant as a way to challenge herself and to step out of her comfort zone. She has struggled with horrible anxiety her entire life and has learned how to overcome the symptoms of anxiety with help from her family and friends. This pageant was a way for Olivia to prove to herself that she can do anything she puts her mind to, and when her name was called as the new Miss Rhode Island Teen USA 2019 and the crown was put on her head, she realized she can do anything!
