Top 20 at Miss Teen USA 2023

A native of Fargo, Morgan Schwindt was crowned Miss North Dakota Teen USA on 11 June 2023 and represented North Dakota at Miss Teen USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada.  She was first runner-up in the 2022 pageant and is the first titleholder from Fargo since 2018.  Fueled by her desire to advocate for those struggling to find purpose, Morgan recently created an Instagram page called “Give Life”  hoping to connect with other teens who have lost loved ones and to spread a message encouraging her peers to overcome their own mental health struggles.

2023 bio:

Morgan Schwindt is 18 years old and was born in Fargo, North Dakota. She grew up with a large, tight-knit family, which made it even more devastating to lose her father at just 10-years-old in a tragic snowmobile accident. With the loss of her father, Morgan’s mental health took a hit during her high school years as she struggled to cope with the loss. Overcoming these obstacles, combined with her love for helping others to find and have hope, grew her passion to help other young teens struggling with suicidal thoughts and mental health.

As a FirstLink volunteer, Morgan has been able to write mental health awareness letters. FirstLink is a free, confidential service available to anyone 24/7/365 for listening and support, referrals to resources/help, and crisis intervention. FirstLink answers the 211 helpline, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and communicates via the text line 898-211. FirstLink provides these services across the entire state of North Dakota and parts of Minnesota. Dial 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898-211 from anywhere in our service area for confidential help and support.

Fueled by her desire to advocate for those struggling to find purpose, Morgan recently created an Instagram page called “Give Life” (@givelife_nonprofitorg) hoping to connect with other teens who have lost loved ones and to spread a message encouraging her peers to overcome their own mental health struggles. She is hopeful that the title of Miss North Dakota Teen USA 2023 will provide a grander platform to impact those who are experiencing feelings of depression and self-doubt.

In high school, Morgan was very involved in sports and extra-curricular activities including varsity volleyball, golf, soccer, and A Cappella choir. She enjoys being outdoors at the lake going wake surfing, knee boarding, tubing, fishing, hiking, and much more. She also enjoys being active in the gym or just going for a walk to move her body and clear her mind. Morgan will also be obtaining her Estiticians License as she used the beauty industry as a passion to help herself as well as others to feel confident and beautiful within their own skin. She also plans on attending North Dakota State University to continue her career in Business and Marketing.
