Miss North Dakota 2016
A native of Minot, Macy Christianson was crowned Miss North Dakota USA 2020 on 9 November 2019 and represented North Dakota at the Miss USA 2020 pageant in Memphis Tennessee. She was only the third North Dakota woman to compete at both Miss America and Miss USA.
Macy grew up in Minot, North Dakota with her parents and five siblings and was proud to represent her hometown of Minot through this organization.
Macy has worked closely with several organizations she’s passionate about including Love Your Melon, SADD, Special Olympics and Children’s Miracle Network. She’s partnered with the North Dakota Department of Transportation and was a guest speaker for the Heartview Foundation, Mind Matters Brain Injury Conference and NLSADD Conference. She loves being involved in her community and giving back whenever she can.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, dancing, snowboarding and anything that involves the outdoors. She was a three-sport athlete in high school and continues to play for fun and coach basketball. As a ballet dancer, she was able to travel to Salt Lake City and New York City to dance with both the Bolshoi Ballet and Ballet West.
In December of 2018, Macy graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She plans to attend graduate school next year in order to obtain her Masters degree for Marriage and Family Therapy. She currently works as a paraprofessional for children with emotional disabilities and is always on the lookout for her next adventure.
