A native of Franklin, Hannah Billingsley was crowned Miss Arkansas USA on 6 January 2013 and represented Arkansas at the Miss USA 2013 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hannah made the Chancellors, Deans, and Honor’s Directors List at Arkansas State University where she was majoring in Communication Disorders. She later married country singer Shay Mooney.
Miss Arkansas USA 2013 Hannah Billingsley grew up on the family cattle farm in the small town of Franklin. She now has her own small herd of cattle and has used the income to put herself through college. Hannah has always displayed an aptitude for sports. She played basketball and softball, starting at age 8. Her teams have travelled around the country, won state titles, and competed at a national level.
Hannah is enrolled at the University of Central Arkansas, working toward a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders to become a Speech Language Pathologist. During her college career, Hannah has been involved in several organizations and philanthropic events. She has helped to raise more than $10,000 for charities including the Be Her Freedom campaign for human trafficking, Habitat for Humanity, and Shoebox Ministries. She has been knitting hats for Arkansas Children’s Hospital for the past 4 years and has been very active in raising funds for the Children’s Miracle Network, receiving the Miracle Maker Award in 2012. She has also worked with Feeding Arkansas Kids and the Backpack Program to end child hunger.
