Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2013 Abby Floyd resides in Searcy on her family farm. Abby started showing horses when she was 11 years old, and after 5 years of early morning horse training sessions she was finally able to capture the American Quarter Horse Association Youth World Championship in 2012. In addition to showing horses, she enjoys learning to cook, cheering, traveling, shopping, riding four wheelers, boating, and wakeboarding. Another one of her passions is modeling. Through hard work and dedication, Abby has had the opportunity to model on a state, national, and international level for Tony Bowls, DillardŐs, Varsity Cheer and Dance, and Justine Magazine. She has been also been featured in ads in Seventeen Magazine.
There are several causes that are important to Abby starting with the American Association of Cancer Research as she lost both her grandmothers to cancer and her Dad is a cancer survivor. She also gives her time working with Hearts and Hooves which is an organization that helps mentally and physically challenged children through Hippotherapy. She is also excited to be recently involved with Warriors for Ross to help children with cancer and their families. She hopes to use her title to champion these causes as well as bringing awareness to bullying and helping those who are facing both cyberbullying and bullying in school.
She owes everything to her faith in God and her family who give her unconditional support and love. She lives her life by the advice of her late Grandmother, “Always be true to yourself.”
