A native of Green, Miss Ohio Teen USA 2010 Bridget Linton represented Ohio at the Miss Teen USA 2010 pageant at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. During her reign, Bridget was a freshman at the University of Akron, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. She has remained involved with Proctor Productions since her reign, as a co-host.
Miss Ohio Teen USA 2010 Bridget Linton is an 18 year old freshman at the University of Akron majoring in Broadcast Journalism. She is also a member of the University of Akron Dance Team. Bridget loves to perform, make people smile, model, run, shop, and travel. Her greatest love is Irish dancing. As a six-time world qualifier and medal holder, Bridget has competed all over North America, Ireland and Scotland. She believes that dancing has given her the poise, discipline, confidence and competitive spirit that has followed her throughout her life. Bridget is a dance instructor and tutor at the O’Hare School of Irish Dance.
A 2009 graduate of Green High School, Bridget was a member of National Honor Society, the Dean’s List for post-secondary studies, Student Council, Yearbook, Musical Theater, and Spanish Club. She was also Cheerleading Captain, Dance Team Captain, Varsity Track, and Homecoming Queen. In high school, Bridget volunteered a number of hours for such causes as Toys for Tots, Battered Women’s Shelter, Volley for the Cure, Kick for the Cure, Relay for Life, and much more.
As Miss Ohio Teen USA, Bridget is looking forward to her responsibilities as a good will ambassador, making appearances, and working with charities. She is eager to fill her year working with organizations such as the American Heart Association, Girl Talk, and D.A.R.E. She would like to use her position as Miss Ohio Teen USA to make a positive difference in the lives of children. Her goal is to visit schools throughout the State of Ohio and encourage children to become aware of their inner beauty and promote a positive self-image. She wants to inspire children to believe in themselves and realize that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. Bridget also wants to further her involvement with the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
