A native of Mt. Laurel, Erica Szymanski was crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA on 18 October 2009 and represented New Jersey at the Miss Teen USA 2010 pageant in the Bahamas. Erica was a senior at Merion Mercy Academy where she was a member of both the National and Music Honor Societies.
Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2010 Erica Szymanski is a senior at Merion Mercy Academy. There, she is a member of both the National and Music Honor Societies, as well as the orchestra, daily news, Glee Club, school newspaper, and the Merion Mercy Music Theater. As a violinist and singer, she contributes her musical talents not only to her school, but to her community as well; she takes part in various orchestras and quartets, as well as community functions.
Outside of Merion Mercy, Erica is involved with the Children’s Smile Foundation, Urban Promise, and Aid for Friends. Her love for writing is emitted through submitting articles to the Philadelphia Inquirer, as well as participating in local and international poetry contests.As a result of her love for different cultures, Erica loves traveling and learning different languages, as well as meeting people from all around the world. By using her gifts, talents, and affinity towards her community and the people in it, she is determined to promote the prestigious title of Miss New Jersey Teen USA.
