A native of Livingston, Sydney Taylor was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2024 on 30 March and represented Louisiana at the Miss USA 2024 pageant. Sydney was previously fourth runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2020. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University.
Miss Louisiana USA 2024 Sydney Taylor is 23 years old from Livingston. She is a recent graduate of Louisiana State University with a bachelors’ degree in accounting. Sydney plans to attend LSU Law School in the fall of 2024 to eventually become a corporate attorney.
Sydney is the daughter of Courtney and Billy Taylor, and has two younger sisters – Shelby and Gracie, and two golden retrievers. Growing up as an athlete, Sydney realizes the impact sports have on our youth and life lessons that can be learned on a field or a court. Not only is she a softball coach, but she founded an organization called Play With a Purpose to collect equipment and raise money for young athletes to reach their full potential in sports.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys doing Pilates, playing pickleball or pick-up basketball, and spending time with her family.
Sydney is ecstatic and grateful to have the opportunity to represent Louisiana at Miss USA 2024. Throughout her reign as Miss Louisiana USA, she plans to advocate for youth in sports and continue to grow her nonprofit.

Sydney Taylor won both Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2020 and Miss Louisiana USA 2024 on her first attempt at each title. She placed fourth runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2020. Her Teen sister titleholder Mariah Clayton was there to watch her win the Miss title.
