A native of Suwanee, Kaylin Reque was crowned Miss Georgia USA on 20 November 2010 and represented Georgia at the Miss USA 2011 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is a member of the Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders as well as the Atlanta Thrashers Blue Crew dancers. She is a classically trained ballet dancer who exclusively studied the Vaganova method under ballet great Pavel Rotaru.
Miss Georgia USA 2011 Kaylin Reque is employed by the NBA and NHL as a member of The Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders as well as The Atlanta Thrashers Blue Crew. You might have recently seen Kaylin on your television, as she was a contestant on the hit NBC show “Minute To Win It” during their “Girls of Summer” series. She is a classically trained ballet dancer who exclusively studied the Vaganova method under ballet great Pavel Rotaru. Additionally, Kaylin continued her dance studies in Philadelphia at the prestigious Rock School under Christopher Fleming.
Kaylin is a Communications major at Georgia Perimeter College and plans on furthering her education once she completes her reign as Miss Georgia USA. Kaylin coaches and mentors the Atlanta Hawks Junior Dance Team, a program designed specifically to promote self-esteem, pride, commitment, and discipline among young dancers through mentoring.
Kaylin has traveled throughout the southeast as an advocate for various organizations including the philanthropic foundations of The Atlanta Hawks, The Atlanta Braves and The Atlanta Thrashers to assist in meeting the immediate and long term needs of Georgia’s local communities.
Kaylin’s mother was born with the physical disability Spina Bifida and because of this she is especially inspired to encourage children, teens and adults with physical disabilities (and their families) to reach for the stars, because, NOTHING is impossible!
