A native of Augusta, Mary Calkins was crowned Miss Georgia Teen USA on 22 November 2014 and represented Georgia at the Miss Teen USA 2015 pageant in the Bahamas. Mary is an avid volunteer who has supported many different organisations. As a result of her work with the USO, attending press conferences and farewell events for our troops, Mary was awarded the Excellence in Service of Metro Atlanta Award and the Always by Their Side Award.
Miss Georgia Teen USA 2015 Mary Calkins is a 17 year old junior who captured the title of Miss Georgia Teen USA 2015 in November. Since then, she has partnered with Toys for Tots, USO, Ronald McDonald House, Broad Street Ministries, and Chick-fil-A. Her work with Toys for Tots has involved extensive fundraising and campaigning to bring the joy of Christmas to children in need. While working with USO, she has attended press conferences and farewell events for our troops. As a result of her work with the USO, Mary was awarded the Excellence in Service of Metro Atlanta Award and the Always by Their Side Award. Mary has been a volunteer at Broad Street Ministries for three years. She has had the opportunity to visit children’s hospitals with Chick-fil-A teams and fundraise for the Ronald McDonald House. Mary is a volunteer at R.L. Norris Elementary School where she tutors fourth and fifth graders in language arts. Being active in these organizations and charities has showed Mary one of her greatest goals in life which is, in the words of Gandhi, to “be the change you wish to see in the world.” Mary is also passionate about her modeling career. She is a proud model for Sherri Hill, Tarik Ediz, and Mignon.
