Lowell

2nd runner-up 2024, 1st runner-up 2023

A native of Lowell, Jewelia Reece was crowned Miss Arkansas Teen USA on 13 April 2025 and will represent Arkansas at Miss Teen USA 2025.  Jewelia is devoted to creating real change through her platform, “Suicide is Not an Option”, in honour of her father.   Through her program she works to spread hope, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and show others that their story is not over.

2025 bio:

Jewelia Ysobella Serrano Reece is a proud student at Rogers High School, where she is on track to graduate with over 30 hours of college credit completed before receiving her diploma. Balancing academics, cheerleading, and leadership, she has devoted herself to creating real change through her platform, “Suicide is Not an Option”.

Jewelia’s platform is rooted in a deeply personal story, one that continues to shape her mission today. Growing up, her father was her biggest supporter and one of the brightest lights in her life. He was her rodeo buddy, her concert partner, and the person who could make any room laugh with his endless jokes. But behind his laughter, he battled struggles that many could not see. When he passed away, Jewelia’s world was forever changed. His story became the “why” behind her mission: to ensure no other family has to face the pain of losing a loved one to suicide. Through “Suicide is Not an Option”, she works to spread hope, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and show others that their story is not over.

Within just two weeks of launching her initiative, Jewelia hosted her first-ever Suicide is Not An Option Prevention Walk, an event that raised funds for both the Arkansas Crisis Center and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention The walk also provided on site counselors, partnered with local businesses, and created a safe, supportive, and empowering space for participants. This event not only raised awareness but also gave families and individuals the opportunity to come together in community, remembrance, and hope. Making it a truly unforgettable experience.

Beyond her platform, Jewelia is a creator and storyteller at heart. She is currently writing and illustrating her first children’s book, inspired by her childhood cat, Carlos. The whimsical story follows Carlos as he learns what it means to be a leader in his own wild and wonderful way, designed to encourage young readers to find their voice, embrace their uniqueness, and grow in confidence.

Jewelia is also a dedicated athlete and proudly represents Rogers High School as a member of the Competition Cheer Team. In 2023, her team made history by bringing home their first Championship trophy and later went on to place 7th in the nation. A remarkable achievement that taught her the value of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.

Through every speech, every cheer routine, and every community partnership, Jewelia carries with her a powerful reminder born from her own story, Suicide is not an option, because every life is worth living, and every story deserves to continue.
