Abbey hopes to play Division 1 field hockey at an Ivy League or other top tier academic institution, where she would like to pursue a degree in a STEM field while also continuing to work as an actress and model. She currently plays club field hockey for Coastal FHC and participates in the USA Field Hockey Nexus; and she is a volunteer junior coach for the youth field hockey program in Kennebunk. Abbey has an older brother, with whom she shares her birthday – even though they are two years apart – as well as a rescue dog.

Abbey is passionate about understanding adolescent and teen friendship dynamics and communication and would like to use the platform that comes with being Miss Maine Teen USA to partner with organizations and schools to mentor young girls and persuade them to join team sports and other groups that encourage positive community (such as the Miss Maine Teen USA Pageant and The Miss Universe Organization) – at school, within their religious communities, or wherever else they have connections. She hopes to help young girls understand the value and importance of surrounding themselves with positive influences, peers, and role models, so that they can have the tools and support systems in place to rise above even the most challenging circumstances in relationships and life.
