Shelby Dangerfield was crowned Miss Montana USA on 16 June 2024 and represented Montana at the Miss USA pageant in Hollywood, California. A fifth-generation Montanan who was born and raised in Billings, Shelby is a 2016 graduation of Coastal Carolina University. After spending time on the East Coast pursuing a professional musical theatre career she relocated back to her home state and now lives in Helena.
Shelby Dangerfield was born and raised in Billings, Montana where she grew up with a love for people, performing and pursuing life. Shelby went on to study musical theater in South Carolina where she performed in various productions; Rapunzel in Into The Woods, Val in A Chorus Line, and Johanna in Sweeney Todd at Coastal Carolina University. Shortly after graduation, Shelby moved to NYC where she landed opportunities with Disney Cruise Lines in their Broadway Style Production Shows. She was thrilled to sing on behalf of Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty and a few others in their Main Stage Productions. ​Shelby has since relocated to her home state of Montana where she is proudly working with the Leavitt Great West insurance Group as a Commercial Insurance Advisor and competing for the role of Miss Montana USA 2024. Through her initiative Operation Honor Warriors she uplifts Veteran’s across our state and would be privileged to use her role as Miss Montana to make a lasting impact on youth to make wise and strategic financial decisions with her program Master Your Mula.
