A native of Oxford, Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2015 Andrea Hightower represented Mississippi at the Miss Teen USA 2015 pageant in Atlantis, Bahamas. Andrea has seen firsthand how mental illness can affect not just the individual but what it does to the family dynamics. Throughout her reign, Andrea is hoping to remove guilt and shame from mental illness, especially for children of those diagnosed with mental illness.
Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2015 Andrea Hightower is currently enrolled at the University of Mississippi Online High School. Andrea’s father was diagnosed with a mental illness early in her childhood. Andrea has seen firsthand how mental illness can affect not just the individual but what it does to the family dynamics. Throughout her reign, Andrea is hoping to remove guilt and shame from mental illness, especially for children of those diagnosed with mental illness. After completing high school she hopes to further her education with an undergraduate degree in journalism and eventually go on to Law School. One day Andrea would love to get into politics.
