Miss Florida Teen USA 2010 Alyssa Rivera was an honor roll student at Archbishop McCarthy High School during her reign. She was passionate about contributing to her community and a talented singer. Alyssa performed in over 60 venues in Florida and Puerto Rico and released a bilingual single on iTunes.
Miss Florida Teen USA 2010 Alyssa Rivera is well-known in her community for being a model, good citizen, talented singer and a full blown performer. Her passion for singing began at the age of five and she has grown to excel in the arts ever since. She has performed in over 60 venues in Florida and Puerto Rico. Being a talented teenager is only the beginning; Alyssa has released her songs on iTunes. Her first single titled “I Am Not that Girl” embodies her bi-lingual music with a flare of reggaeton and pop sounds. Alyssa is a professional model as well working runway shows and most recently on a spread in the Hispanic Magazine ” Telerevista” December edition. Her work with modeling and pageants paid off when she was featured on the cover of Pageantry Magazine’s Spring 2009 Prom Time issue.
Hard work and perseverance has helped Alyssa earn the coveted title of Miss Florida Teen USA 2010. Being a two year veteran in pageantry, Alyssa has become aware that her community contributions can impact her fellow youth while also bringing light toimportant social issues. She has made several local appearances to speak about theimportance of HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention within to the youth. She also started an organization called “Ally’s Angelz” she provides key life skills learned through her years in pageants and collects cocktail dresses so that young ladies may compete in pageants without incurring additional costs. Alyssa attends Archbishop Mccarthy High School and is an honor roll student in the Top 50 school in the Nation.
