Miss South Dakota USA 2022 Shania Knutson represented South Dakota in the Miss USA 2022 pageant. She has been temporarily suspended pending charges of theft. As a 7th generation South Dakotan, Shania grew up on a farm near Viborg, SD and lived in Brookings during her reign. She has experience in the event industry, managing a wedding venue, working for an event planner, decorator, and owning her own business, specialising in custom floral design for weddings.
Miss South Dakota USA 2022 Shania Knutoson is a a graduate of South Dakota State University, with a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and a minor in Event and Facilities Administration. As a 7th generation South Dakotan, Shania grew up on a farm near Viborg, SD. She is the proud owner of crop acres, carrying on the family legacy!
She has experience in the event industry, managing a wedding venue, working for an event planner, decorator, and owning her own business, The Stem Floral Studio, specializing in custom wedding designs. She looks forward to continuing building her business full time.
Shania represented South Dakota as Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2018 and is thrilled to have the opportunity to represent South Dakota during her reign and on the Miss USA stage. Shania is a signed model and has experience in commercial, promotional, and fitness modeling. Shania is ready for all the opportunities that the Miss USA organization will provide to her!
She is an advocate for mental health resources as a Crisis Text Line volunteer counselor and hopes to work with many organizations and groups this year to share her story. Shania is passionate about being a role model, showing others what it looks like to show up and work hard for your goals and dreams.
