A native of Harrisburg, Bella Welker was crowned Miss South Dakota Teen USA on 9 April 2022 and represented South Dakota at the Miss Teen USA 2022 pageant in Reno, Nevada. She is passionate about helping others, especially children and adults with disabilities. She volunteers with the Special Olympics and during her junior year of high school became a certified nursing assistant.
Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2022 Bella Welker has grown up in Harrisburg SD her entire life. She has kept a 4.00 GPA thoughout her high school career while balancing extracurricular activities and an active social life. She is an avid student council member and loves being directly involved. Bella was chosen for National Honors Society due to her grades and attendance. During her junior year in high school, she became a certified nursing assistant. She is passionate about helping others, especially children and adults with disabilities. Her brother Max Welker has Cerebral Palsy, and she would love to spread education to others about disabilities as it holds great importance to her.
Helping others has always played a major role in her life. She was introduced to volunteering in elementary school and has taught her many life lessons. She helps with Food To You, an organization dedicated to supplying food locally to people who cannot afford it. Bella aids with her churches volunteer group called Necessities for Neighbors, which is committed to giving the basics that food stamps do not cover. On the weekends, she assists Special Olympics and enjoys her time with the kids and adults doing what they love to do.

Bella adores traveling. Her family vacations have taught her so much about the world today. She truly cherishes these experiences that she is lucky to have in her life.
