A native of Queens, Miss New York Teen USA 2010 Thatiana Diaz graduated from Saint Francis Preparatory School shortly before competing at Miss Teen USA and went on to complete a degree in communications from Pace University. She is the editor-in-chief of Remezcla, an American media company focusing on the Latin American cultural sphere.
Miss New York Teen USA 2010 Thatiana Diaz has lived in Queens all her life. She is a recent graduate of Saint Francis Preparatory School in Fresh Meadows and will attend Pace University in the fall. She participated in her school’s newspaper, hero club, Spanish club, middle eastern club, retreat leaders, big sister & brother program and drug & alcohol prevention team. She dreams of becoming a criminal lawyer one day and having her own firm in NYC.
In her free time, she enjoys creative writing, cooking & baking, reading, belly dancing, and hanging out with her friends. She also enjoys dancing the Hispanic dances of merengue and bachata. Her accomplishments include graduating from the Youth Court of Queens, graduating from modeling school, and being on her schoolís honor roll.
