Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2024, Avery Turner is an 18 year old student from Reading who is currently a senior at Malden Catholic High School. She is an all-star cheerleader at East Celebrity Elite in Tewksbury, Massachusetts where she has been a three time member of their level 6 coed World’s team, BombSquad. Her success in cheerleading has given her multiple opportunities to cheer at the Division 1 level in the fall, and she is currently in the process of deciding which opportunity she will pursue.

Avery has spent her past summers working in child care as an assistant teacher, and she is excited to spend her time prior to graduation volunteering at a local early childhood center.  Throughout her reign, Avery wants to use her title to solicit support for the MGH Cancer Center in celebration of the treatment they are currently providing her uncle, who was diagnosed with colon cancer in his early forties.  She also plans to partner with the American Childhood Cancer Organization, who conduct research and provide support for families whose lives have been touched by childhood cancer, in honor of her 6 year old neighbor Lily, who is battling B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Avery is the middle child in her family, and she is very close with her older sister, Caroline, and her younger brother, Jay.  Having always been a competitive athlete, Avery enjoys working out and is passionate about promoting a healthy body image amongst teenagers.  She hopes to earn a degree in Exercise Science.
