This year both state costume competitions were held together, with each state's Miss and Teen walking the runway one after the other. Miss Hawaii USA Savannah Gankiewicz won the Best Costume award for the Miss contestants, for her depiction of the iconic banyan tree saved in the Maui fires; and Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava won the Teen award for her honeybee costume – she went on to win Miss Teen USA the following night.
