Delaney Musgrave was crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA on 1 August 2021 and represented New Jersey at the Miss Teen USA 2021 pageant in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A native of Georgia, Delaney was a boarding student at The Lawrenceville School during her reign.
Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2021 Delaney Musgrave is the first 2021 titleholder to first compete in one state and then win another – the last time this happened was Jaclyn Davis in 2019! Delaney was a runner-up at Miss Georgia Teen USA earlier in the year.
At 15-years-old, Delaney decided that she wanted to pursue new opportunities and made the decision to attend a private boarding high school. She is a senior at The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. In her junior year of high school, Delaney was voted and honored by the 45 girls in her house, the McClellan house, to be house president. This year, as a senior, Delaney is the Student Council Vice President of Social Life where she plans social events and serves as an active and supportive member of the student council. She is also on the Tour Guide council and Prefect in her house, where she acts as a mentor and “big sister” to the new and younger “McSisters” in the house.
Delaney is passionate about both performing and visual art. As a new sophomore at her boarding school, Delaney was the only new student and also 1 of 5 sophomores in the fall musical performance of Sweeney Todd. After taking photography classes in middle school, Delaney decided to start her own photography business and has even shot for Sherri Hill! Through this, Delaney has been able to raise over $4,000 for numerous charities she is passionate about Aside from photography, Delaney also enjoys painting and drawing.
Outside of school, Delaney enjoys collecting antiques, watching Marvel movies, going tubing with her dog Lady, and going to Disney World with her family. She is the youngest of 4 siblings born in 4 years, and she loves to spend time with her family. Additionally, she has dabbled in modeling at New York Fashion Week and was Sherri Hill’s youngest prom-line model ever at 13-years-old. Although her current future goals do not include becoming a professional model, one of her goals is to obtain her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of California Berkeley and to then graduate from Duke University School of Medicine to pursue a career as a pediatric oncologist.
